The water footprint of food

Students process new knowledge based on the realities that affect not only human beings, but also all living beings that inhabit the planet.
During the Global Training, we explored Global Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation, from the perspective of indicator 6.6: by 2020, protect and restore ecosystems related to water, including forests, mountains, wetlands, rivers, aquifers and the lakes. We worked on a series of interactive activities to reevaluate the water footprint of our diet by learning about the holistic impacts of certain forms of agriculture and livestock. These activities strengthen the relationship between food systems, the planet, and human health.
We noticed that the students connected with each of the realities the world is facing and how it impacts their localities today. The rising generations are empathetic with environmental situations and are aware of the impacts that they can generate when taking a certain action such as buying excess clothes, consuming a beef burger or junk food. Between all of us we innovated about how to evolve our consumption habits to regenerate our relationship with water.
At regenÜrate we celebrate that students process new knowledge based on the realities that affect not only human beings, but also all living beings that inhabit the planet. During this process it is very important that each person expresses what they feel, know, and want to learn in order to strengthen that knowledge and put it into practice. For this reason, we did not establish a conventional relationship between student-facilitators. Instead, we felt that we all approached fraternally to motivate ourselves to learn through games, laughter, and practices to spread the passion for regenerative knowledge.
As part of the regenÜrate team, we feel that this is a space where we are in a process of continuous learning and transformation. Thank you very much for the beings who accompanied us in this regenerative adventure! See you soon!
In these classes we do fun things that my school doesn't, and here they explain to us with activities. I didn't know that drinking cow's milk affects cows and the planet, and I liked the activities with the materials.

The only observation I have is to congratulate the chosen teachers, their vocation of service to the children is evident, the way of teaching and explaining the subjects are excellent. And the topics that you see are very important and educational in these times… that's why I would like them to be implemented in all schools.
